Therapy for Postpartum & Motherhood
In Person and Virtual in New York City
You don’t have to navigate this season on your own.
Your Space to Breathe
Becoming a mother changes everything. Your body, your identity, your relationships, the way you see yourself. Some of that shift is beautiful, but a lot is disorienting, and it can be hard to know who you are inside it all.
Therapy is a place to set that down, without having to explain yourself or hold it together for anyone.
Our clinicians work with you one on one to help you process what this season is bringing up, the parts you expected and the parts no one warned you about. We combine insight oriented work with real, grounded tools to help you build a maternal identity that actually feels like yours, along with a confidence in yourself as a mother that comes from within.
The goal isn’t just to get through the days. It’s to feel present and grounded inside them, connected to who you are and trusting in your capability.
When Something Feels Off, Even When You’re Doing Everything Right
You don’t need to be in crisis to deserve support. For many mothers, it begins with a quieter, harder-to-name feeling.
Maybe you love your child deeply and still feel a grief you can’t explain: for your old life, your old body, your old sense of freedom. The joy you expected to feel is there, but so is something heavier sitting right alongside it. You might be snapping more than you’d like, crying without warning, or lying awake with a mind that won’t stop. You’re doing all the things, and yet you feel more alone than you ever have.
For some, it shows up as relentless anxiety, scanning for danger, unable to relax even when the baby is finally asleep. For others, it’s a numbness, a disconnection from your body or your relationship, a quiet wondering of whether you’re bonding the way you’re supposed to. Some mothers feel consumed by rage or guilt they don’t know where to put. Others feel like they’ve lost themselves entirely and aren’t sure how to find their way back.
And for those who are navigating loss, fertility treatments, or the long road to parenthood, the emotional weight of that journey deserves space too.
Wherever you are in the motherhood experience, this is a place to stop performing and start processing, so you can show up more fully for yourself and the people you love.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is what I'm feeling postpartum depression?
Postpartum depression and anxiety show up differently for everyone. You don’t need a diagnosis to come to therapy. If something feels off: emotionally, relationally, or in your sense of self, that’s enough reason to reach out.
How soon after birth can I start therapy?
Anytime. We work with mothers in every stage, from pregnancy and birth through the toddler years and beyond. There’s no window you have to fit into.
How long does therapy take?
That depends on your goals. Some clients come for a specific season or transition, while others stay longer for deeper, ongoing work. We’ll collaborate on what feels right for you.
What if I don't have much time or childcare?
We offer virtual sessions so you can access support from home, your car, or wherever you can find a quiet moment. We’ll work with your reality, not against it.
What types of therapy do you use?
Our therapists draw on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, somatic therapy, and attachment-based work, tailored to what’s most useful for you in this season.
